What we collect, why, and what we do with it. Short version: we use your information to build and deliver your order and to answer you, and we do not sell or share it.

What We Collect and Why
You can browse the site without giving us anything. We collect information only when you:
- Place an order. Name, email, phone, billing and shipping addresses, and payment details. We use them to build, deliver and support your order and to contact you if there is a problem with it.
- Ask for a quote. The items and prices in your cart plus the name, email and phone you enter, so we can honor the quote and answer questions about it. The quote email carries a private link to an online copy; we record when and how often that link is opened so our staff can follow up. Quotes are kept for as long as they are valid and for our records afterward.
- File a warranty claim, shipping damage report or warranty transfer. Your name, email, phone, order number, the installation address, your description of the problem, any photos you upload, and the date and IP address of the submission (to help prevent abuse). We use them to review and resolve the claim.
- Apply for contractor pricing. Your business details and resale certificate, used to set up your account and, where applicable, tax-exempt ordering.
- Email or call us. We keep the correspondence so we can answer you.
How We Protect It
Everything you enter on this site travels over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Card numbers are sent to our payment processor and are not stored on our servers. Uploaded claim photos are stored in our database, not as files on the website, so they can never be opened or run from the web.
What We Share
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not run third-party advertising. We share it only as needed to serve you: with the carrier that delivers your order, with our payment processor to charge your card, and with the manufacturer if a warranty claim on vinyl shutters belongs to them. We may share aggregate statistics (page views, order counts) that identify no one.
We email you about your own orders, quotes and claims. We send occasional news or offers only if you have agreed to receive them, and every such email has an unsubscribe link.
Cookies
The site sets a session cookie to keep your shopping cart together while you browse; it expires when you close your browser and the cart needs it to work. Google Analytics and the chat widget described below set their own cookies. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (a service of Google LLC) to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, how visitors arrive, what device and browser they use, and which orders are completed. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (_ga and _ga_*) and reports usage data to Google, including a truncated IP address and, when you complete an order, the order number, total and items purchased. It does not receive your name, email, address or card details. We have not enabled Google Signals or advertising features, and we do not use the data for advertising. To opt out, install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or block cookies for this site.
Chat and Other Third-Party Services
The Contact us chat button is provided by PureChat. If you open a chat, what you type and the information you give (such as your name and email) are stored by PureChat so we can answer you; the widget also sets a cookie to keep your conversation together. Our footer shows a Better Business Bureau seal loaded from bbb.org, which lets the BBB see that you visited a page carrying the seal. Both services have their own privacy policies.
Children
If you are under 18, do not give us your name, email or other identifying information without a parent’s or guardian’s consent.
Your Choices
Ask us at any time to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or to stop emailing you. Write to customerservice@sunbeltshutters.com or call 1-888-778-4774. We keep order records as long as the law and our warranty require.
