Every fall the big paint brands each name a Color of the Year. Here are the 2027 picks from Benjamin Moore, Sherwin-Williams (and its HGTV Home line), Behr, Valspar, Glidden, Dutch Boy and Clark+Kensington, with last year's 2026 pick beside each. Every color is painted on a louvered shutter pair so you can judge it the way it would look on your house.
Because shutters live outdoors, we put exterior-friendly brands first. A green badge means the brand itself says the color works inside and out. "Exterior not stated" means we found no exterior statement from the brand; the color may still be available in exterior paint, so ask the paint counter before you buy.
