About the Bahama Shutter Hardware Kit
Everything to hang and prop one Bahama shutter, in one box: a top hinge (sliding aluminum, Suffolk steel or New York steel) and either stay arms or hooks. White kits have a white hinge and arms. Order one kit per shutter.
Bahama shutters hang from the top and prop open with arms, so they need a top hinge that carries the full weight of the shutter and arms sized to the opening angle you want. Lynn Cove Bahama hardware is weatherproof aluminum or powder-coated steel with a 5-year warranty.
Planning Bahama hardware
Each Bahama shutter needs one top hinge and either a pair of arms or a pair of hooks. Arm length sets how far the shutter props open: longer arms open it wider. Measure from the sill (or the wall, for wall-mount brackets) to where the arm meets the shutter at the angle you want.

Arms or hooks?
Arms prop the shutter at a fixed angle (or adjustable, with the adjustable arms) and lock with a brass pin. Hooks are simpler and hold the shutter at the angle set by the hook length.
Which hinge should I choose?
The sliding aluminum hinge runs the full width of the shutter and suits most homes. The Suffolk and New York steel hinges have a more traditional look; choose stainless steel near the coast.
