About the Shutter Fasteners
The traditional way to hold a pair of shutters closed over a window. The latch slides into the hatch on the back of the shutter, the keeper screws into the wooden sill, and the hook catches the lip of the keeper as the shutter is pulled shut. Also used on Bahama shutters.
John Wright has cast traditional hardware in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, since 1880. Raw cast iron pieces must be primed and painted before installation; WeatherWright powder-coated pieces arrive finished in black.

Questions
Do I need a wooden sill?
Yes. The keeper screws into a wood windowsill, so this fastener is not for a brick or stone sill.
Raw or powder coated?
Raw cast iron has to be primed and painted before it goes up. The WeatherWright version arrives finished in black.
How fast does it ship?
In-stock hardware usually ships within the next business day. Shipping charges for hardware are shown in your cart before you check out.
Do you offer contractor pricing?
Yes. Contractors and installers ordering hardware for several homes can call 1-888-778-4774 or see our contractor sales page.
