About the ACME, Lull & Porter Shutter Hinges
The once-patented ACME, Lull & Porter hinge is mortised into the edge of the shutter and the window casing, and it is designed so the wind cannot lift the shutter off. Choose it when enough wood trim is exposed at the window; choose a Clark's Tip surface hinge when it is not. Size by the throw you need: the distance the shutter must clear from the casing.
John Wright has cast traditional hardware in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, since 1880. Raw cast iron pieces must be primed and painted before installation; WeatherWright powder-coated pieces arrive finished in black.

Measure how far the shutter has to swing out to clear the casing and sill (the throw), then pick the size whose throw from casing is at least that much. The size chart is in the specifications.

No. Order ACME screw set 88-370 for sizes #3 to #1, or 88-371 for #0 and #00.
