About the Bahama Shutter Stay
A 24" hook-and-eye stay that props a Bahama shutter open for ventilation and unhooks to let it drop closed.
John Wright has cast traditional hardware in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, since 1880. Raw cast iron pieces must be primed and painted before installation; WeatherWright powder-coated pieces arrive finished in black.
Planning Bahama hardware
Each Bahama shutter needs one top hinge and either a pair of arms or a pair of hooks. Arm length sets how far the shutter props open: longer arms open it wider. Measure from the sill (or the wall, for wall-mount brackets) to where the arm meets the shutter at the angle you want.
